Ceshia Ubau is a Nicaraguan singer-songwriter based in Costa Rica, known for blending Central American rhythms with contemporary sounds. Her music explores themes of self-esteem, emotional connection, and introspection, aiming to shed light on social realities and create a deep bond with her audience.
She has performed across Central America, Europe, Mexico, Colombia, and Brazil, with notable appearances at festivals such as Dándole Cuerda (Brazil, 2018) and Tesituras (Colombia, 2018). She has also collaborated with UNICEF, UNHCR, and UNESCO on human rights and violence prevention campaigns.
With two albums released, Con los Ojos del Alma (2017) and LUZ (2022), the latter was considered for the 2022 Latin Grammy Awards. In 2023, she won two ACAM awards in Costa Rica for her song Para Mí and the production of LUZ.
