Gente de Zona, a Cuban urban music and Latin pop duo formed by Alexander Delgado Hernández and Randy Malcom Martínez, rose to fame in 2014 with their collaboration on the hit song “Bailando”, together with Enrique Iglesias and Descemer Bueno, which already has more than 3 billion views on YouTube and was awarded three Latin Grammys in the categories Song of the Year, Best Urban Music Performance and Best Urban Song.
In 2019 they released the album Otra Cosa (Sony Music / Magnus Media), with the popular single “Te Duele” and in 2020 they collaborated with Becky G on “Muchacha”. Other hits by the duo include “Si no vuelves”; “La Gozadera” and “Traidora”, both in collaboration with Marc Anthony; “3 A.M”., alongside Jessy & Joy; “Ni tú ni yo” feat. Jennifer López; and “Mejor sin ti”, with Leoni Torres.
Their album Visualízate (Sony Music / Magnus Media, 2015) won Tropical Album of the Year at the Billboard Latin Music Awards and they received three Lo Nuestro awards. In 2018, they earned the ASCAP Golden Note Award and the Tropical Artist of the Year award at the Billboard Latin Music Awards.
In 2021 they won two Latin Grammys for the song “Patria y Vida”, along with the artists Yotuel, Maykel Osorbo and El Funky.
Gente de Zona has performed on stages around the world, including Latin Grammy shows and at other important awards ceremonies such as the Billboard or the Juventud Awards, as well as the Viña del Mar International Song Festival in Chile, where they won the Golden and Silver Gaviota.
