Nikki Alva

Nikki Alva is a singer, songwriter, actress, sound engineer, and music producer of Latin American origin, born in New York in 2002, who dreams of giving new life and breath to Latin and Anglo-Saxon music alike and has the ambition to maintain the salsa genre alive.

As a bilingual singer-songwriter, musician, and producer, Nikki wants to help find and create a new generation of modern-style salsa. She has recorded salsa versions of classic Latin American songs, including “Cómo se cura una herida”; as well as “You Dance So Good” with Alberto GV, produced by Colombian artist Oscar Ivan Lozano “OiLO”. Other of her successes have been “Detrás de las ventanas”, written by her and produced by Diego Galé; “Dime que me amas,” produced by Puerto Rican Jay Lugo; or “En mi corazón” a duet with Johnny Rivera “El Noble de la Salsa”, written by Nikki Alva and Panamanian David Choy, produced in Puerto Rico by Grammy Award-winning producer Ramón Sánchez.

In 2012 Nikki Alva won Most Promising Vocalist of the Year from The Georgia and Tennessee Country and Gospel Music Association. After that, she competed at the Country Tonite Theater in Pigeon Forge Tennessee, where she won the 2013 Future Star of the Year award. She also had a great experience on the television show La Banda.
