Norberto Vélez is a singer and songwriter from Puerto Rico. At the age of 16, he joined the Orquesta Trompeta con Trovadores, led by Elías López, and developed a passion for salsa. During this time, he performed as a backup singer with artists such as Charlie Cruz, Frankie Negrón, and Pedro Brull, among others. He later had the opportunity to sing with the “Sonero de la Juventud,” Víctor Manuelle, with whom he recorded the duet “Si te vas” in 2003.
Norberto was part of the group NG2 for 16 years, standing out as a composer, producer, and arranger. In 2019, he launched his project “Sesiones Desde La Loma,” a social media program that showcases the musical talents of various artists.
Norberto Vélez has released four music productions: “A Mi Modo” (2021), “El Último Bolero” (2022), “Transición y Creación” (2023), and “Yo A Su Estilo” (2025). The latter is an album full of collaborations that will further solidify his career. The promotional single, “Y Si Mañana,” is a collaboration with Tito Nieves, and the album features artists such as Luis Enrique, Víctor Manuelle, Maelo Ruiz, and more, blending Norberto’s style with the signature sounds of these renowned artists.
