Releases
How much time in advance should I consider when distributing?
We recommend distributing it 4 weeks before the release date to provide you with our full service.
What format should the audio file I want to distribute be in?
The master of the song should be in WAV, ideally 44.1kHz, 24bit, or similar.
What format should the video be in for uploading to YouTube?
MP4 using the H.264 codec and AAC-LC audio.
What format should the Cover Art of my release be in?
JPG, PNG, TIFF 3000x3000px (1:1), 300dpi, RGB.
What is the difference between a Primary collaborating artist and a Featuring artist?
The fact that the collaborating artist is Primary and not Featuring allows the release to be published as the collaborating artist’s own catalog, appearing in their profile on the streaming platforms as their own release, allowing a greater reach of the product. If it is distributed as a Featuring collaborating artist, the release will be published only in the “Appears On” section of the collaborating artist’s profile.
What is the Focus track?
It is the featured song that represents a release with two or more tracks. This release will play the role of “arrowhead” and be presented to pitch to the different streaming platforms.
What are ISRC and UPC codes?
The ISRC code is the “barcode” that represents the song being distributed, while the UPC code represents the product as a whole, whether it has one track or ten.
What landing page can I use for when my release has already been published?
The Presave link delivered to you prior to the launch automatically becomes a landing page from the day the product is published, allowing you to reproduce it on different platforms.
What is the promotional pitch text?
It is the information that the artist delivers to Puntilla in relation to the release in question and the context in relation to the project. With this information, our team can create and submit the pitch text to the streaming platforms. Usually, this text has information such as the message and story behind your music. What strategy do you have planned for this release (social media content, advertising campaign, video clips, video lyrics, visualizer, press campaign, etc.)? Is it a collaboration? What is the context of this release? Is it part of an album? What are the plans for next, and how are they connected to this release? How do you plan to follow up after this release?
