César Orozco is a Cuban-born pianist, vocalist, composer, arranger, producer, and educator based in New York. After building a successful career in Venezuela, he moved to the U.S., where he earned a Graduate Performance Diploma in Jazz Piano from the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University.
A 2025 Latin GRAMMY® winner for Best Arrangement, Orozco has collaborated with renowned artists including Paquito D’Rivera, Pedrito Martinez, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Luis Enrique, Tony Succar, Giovanni Hidalgo, and Guaco. He has performed on more than 80 recordings, released seven albums as a leader, and currently fronts SonAhead, a project that blends Cuban son, timba, jazz, and contemporary influences. His music reflects a distinctive fusion of Cuban and Venezuelan traditions with modern jazz.
