A dozen Cuban singers and a Venezuelan joined together to cover the famous Christmas carol “Feliz Navidad,” by José Feliciano, with a salsa remix, which was released this Thursday along with a colorful video clip so that “Latin families can enjoy it.”
The record label Puntilla Music, from Miami, announced in a statement that the voices involved in the new version, including that of the well-known vocalist Leoni Torres, form a “perfect union of talented singers.”
They are also Cubans Lenier, Beangel, Nesty, Omi Hernández, Dale Pututi, El Carli, Kelvis Ochoa, Diana Ela, and Gardi.
They are joined by the Venezuelan artist Luis Fernando Borjas, who was a singer with the group Guaco.
“Feliz Navidad Salsa Remix” is available starting today on all digital platforms and is accompanied by a video clip where the artists dance and make jokes with a human-sized teddy bear.
The video shows the singers together celebrating, dancing, singing, and showing “the magic of Christmas,” the statement describes.
This emblematic song, composed by the Puerto Rican singer-songwriter José Feliciano in 1970, “cannot be missed in December, but now with another option to listen to and enjoy this remix in Salsa,” the statement adds.
“Feliz Navidad” is a simple and popular Christmas carol currently considered one of the most popular Christmas songs worldwide.
Puntilla Music, which works from Miami with internationally renowned Latin artists such as Marc Anthony, Fonseca, and Gente de Zona, has this time brought together singers from various musical genres, such as the reggaeton artist Lenier, the singer-songwriter Kelvis Ochoa and the famous salsero Leoni Torres.
