The Cuban musician Leoni Torres presents his new production Pasándola bien, an album that, according to himself, is salsa.
“My new album, Pasándola bien, is released. Let me know which one is your favorite,” Torres wrote on his official Instagram account.
Having a good time comes to light together with the video clip of the same name. “I give you the official video, a song that bears the name of my new album. It is a video that reflects a lot of joy, dance, salsa and the Latin party. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do,” he said. The artist’s eldest daughter, Sheila Torres, collaborated with the design of the cover of the single and with some ideas for the video clip.
“We have another artist in the family. It is a great pleasure to have you, my beautiful daughter, and your contributions to this new project. Welcome to the world of entertainment,” Torres wrote on the same social network.
Leoni Torres’ previous album, Canten, his tribute to Polo Montañez, was a resounding success that even earned him a 2022 Latin Grammy nomination. Leoni Torres has collaborated with great figures of Cuban and international music such as Rosario Flores, Pablo Milanés, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Beatriz Luengo, Gente de Zona, Descemer Bueno, Francisco Céspedes and Willy Chirino, with whom he performed the song “Para mi viejo”, dedicated to fathers.
Torres was one of the artists who condemned, together with his wife, the actress Yuliet Cruz, what happened after the massive protests that shook Cuba on July 11, 2021.
He had previously participated in the sit-in in front of the Ministry of Culture, on November 27, 2020, when hundreds of artists gathered to call for the cessation of censorship and freedom of expression. He currently lives and works in Miami, along with his wife and children.
