Ricardo Chamberlain has been named COO of Puntilla Music, where he will oversee the music company’s distribution, record label, and publishing divisions, Billboard has learned.
“I feel immensely proud and excited to embark on this journey with Puntilla and its visionary team,” Chamberlain said in a press statement. “Working side by side with Claudio Pairot is an honor, and together we are committed to realizing a new era for the company.”
Pairot is the CEO of Puntilla, which was founded in 2011 in Havana, Cuba, and is currently based in Miami. Its clients include acts such as Gente de Zona, Diana Fuentes, Leoni Torres, and Los Van Van. The label is also the only multi-channel network that has agreements with YouTube Music in Miami.
“His vast experience, fierce dedication to music, and devotion to empowering Latin artists solidify our visionary team as we embark on a new era of growth and innovation,” Pairot added. “Our main focus at Puntilla continues to be championing the talent of Latin artists and connecting them with a global audience.”
Formerly, Chamberlain — a Costa Rica-born guitarist and composer — was appointed senior VP of global marketing at Altafonte in 2021. Before that, he was VP of audience development at Sony Music U.S. Latin, where he helped artists such as Maluma, Ozuna, and Jennifer Lopez, connect with fans through innovative digital marketing, customer relationship management, and advertising for the label’s U.S. Latin artist roster.
With Chamberlain as COO, Puntilla hopes to promote healthy growth by “transforming us into a musical company that is not only flexible but also dedicated to empowering Latin artists,” according to a statement.
