New York singer-songwriter Nikki Alva debuts for the Christmas season with a romantic salsa-flavored melody titled “El Arbolito.”
“El Arbolito” is an original composition by Nikki with the Puerto Rican singer-songwriter of the new generation Carlos Nevárez. Both artists agreed to capture their lyrics from real and current moments, enveloping their Christmas spirit and combining their styles.
Singer Nikki Alva wanted to tell a story and look at how contemporary relationships face unique challenges during the holidays, with a broken heart in the middle of the celebration.
“We wanted to create a song that reflected the reality of many people at this time, where sadness and joy can coexist,” commented the artist.
The musical arrangement was made by Ángel L. Segarra Ortiz, better known as Segarra Music, Puerto Rican producer and musician, who has worked with numerous artists of international stature such as El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico, Cuco Peña, Don Perignon, and Víctor Manuel.
Segarra Music is recognized for his ability to fuse modernity and tradition in salsa. He has contributed to the creation of a unique piece of music that highlights the evolution of the salsa genre in the contemporary era.
In addition, it had the participation of other great Puerto Rican musicians.
